KUCHING: Tay Motors have taken over as the new leaders of the Megalanes Sarawak Tay Motors Trios League for the 189 & Below category at Megalanes Sarawak, E-mart Batu Kawa after the fifth week of keen competition.
The team comprising Robert Lu, Jackie Ting, Jonathan Tchee and Ang Kean Joo felled 2,009 pins to collect 37.80 Peterson points to bring their accumulated points to 145.69 and lead Triple-X’s Kevin Yeo, Idarie Ibrahim and Ryan Lanyu Reginald by a mere 0.09 points.
Elite 2, represented by Adrian Koh, Eric Chong and Willie Chung, downed 1,929 pinfalls for 30.29 points for a total of 132.35 points to climb up to third spot and Boleh La (Asya Dania, Gordon Tsen, Angelo Koay) are now in fourth place with 130.29 points.
They are followed by Bowl’em All, Fighters 17, 1 Team Blacklist and Momentum X.
The champions of this category will receive RM1,000 and trophy while the second and third placed team will get RM500 and RM300 plus a trophy each respectively.
Meanwhile, leading the 169 & Below contest after the sixth week are D’Eagles with 141.31 Peterson points.
Trailing the leaders by 14.93 points are Lucky (126.38) while the third to fifth spots are occupied by The Joker (114.39), Elite 3 (112.09) and PBA (111.53).
Other categories contested in the Megalanes Sarawak Tay Motors Trios League are 149 & Below and 129 & Below.
The bowlers also stand the chance of winning a Yamaha E115 motorcycle in the “Strike and Ride Challenge” where they need to bowl a perfect game and then make a strike to claim their prize.
