Driver escapes unscathed after Ferrari bursts into flames in crash

MIRI: A 43-year-old man managed to cheat death when his Ferrari caught fire after colliding with another vehicle at Jalan Krokop at about 6.40pm on Sunday.

The victim was travelling from Piasau towards the city centre while the other car, a Peugeot driven by a 56-year-old man, was heading in the opposite direction.

Upon reaching Jalan Jee Foh 9 in Krokop, the Peugeot’s driver suddenly made a right turn at a junction, causing it to crash into the Ferrari.

The driver of the Ferrari managed to escape from his car as flames began to emerge from the vehicle.

The Peugeot’s driver was also unhurt in the accident.

Police are investigating the crash.
