KUCHING: An illegal immigrant believed to be an Indonesian was arrested by soldiers from the 13th Royal Malay Army Regiment yesterday for possessing three motorcycles that are believed to be stolen property.
A team led by Lt Col Ismahizan Ishak, on routine patrol in the Serikin (Bau) area, made the arrest around 4pm at one of the illegal entry routes (jalan tikus) leading to West Kalimantan.
The suspect and the three motorcycles were handed over to Bau District police for further action. The three motorcycles are worth about RM26,000.
