SIBU: A man has lodged a police report after he was threatened with harm by two brothers in Sibu Jaya here.
The incident is said to have occurred on Friday night when the 28-year-old was walking alone in the new township.
He was approached by the two brothers who were allegedly armed.
The younger brother reportedly had a piece of wood with him while the elder brother had two iron rods.
The brothers claimed the man’s wife had accused them of stealing.
Before that, the house of the man had been broken into, and the two brothers had heard an allegation that the man’s wife had accused them of stealing.
The two brothers were angered and searched for the man to threaten him on Friday night.
Fearing for his family’s safety, he lodged the police report on Saturday.
