Maszlee on two-day official visit to Kuching

KUCHING: Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik is currently on a two-day official visit to Kuching.

According to a press statement from the Education Ministry, the official visit that started yesterday is to enable him to see for himself the condition of a few schools in Samarahan and Simunjan areas.

Through this visit, Maszlee has assured the Education Ministry’s commitment to maintain dilapidated schools and they will be repaired within five years.

Joining him during the visit were the Education Ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Gazali Abas, deputy director-general of education Datuk Sulaiman Wak and deputy education director Abang Mat Ali.

Today, Maszlee will be making a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

He will also be meeting the staff of State Education Department and also the administration representatives of institutions of higher learning in the state.
