KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government has reactivated the state’s action committee meeting to monitor and find ways to resolve problems related to the implementation of projects and services in Sabah.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Apdal said the committee was particularly important for federal projects in Sabah.

“We can address issues at the nearest time,” he said after chairing a State Action Council meeting here yesterday.
He also said this was to ensure services and projects could be implemented as quickly as possible.

Shafie stressed that the committee was important as it helped improve the relationships between federal bodies and the state.

He also cited that out of the 120 Education Ministry projects, some were not implemented effectively.
He said these were mainly handled by the federal government.

Those handled by the Public Works Department in Sabah have already been completed, he said.

He added that those uncompleted projects would be handed over to the Public Works Department for further action.
