KUALA LUMPUR: A 14-year-old girl was ordered to be sent for rehabilitation at the Henry School in Melaka by the Sessions Court here yesterday for her involvement in a street robbery on a Bangladeshi pedestrian.

Judge Dr Gan Chee Keong made the order after the girl changed her plea to guilty.

She had initially pleaded not guilty to the charge of robbing Sm Nazmul Haque of RM70 from his pocket, with another person who had been charged, near Hotel Winsin, Jalan Leboh Pudu, Dang Wangi, here at 2.30 pm last July 31.

The charge, under Section 395 of the Penal Code, provides for imprisonment up to 20 years, and is liable to whipping, if found guilty.
