Family members grieve after the victim’s body was brought back to their longhouse.
KAPIT: The body of a villager, who fell into Sungai Gaat at Nanga Sepulau in Baleh, about 90 kilometres from here, was recovered on Saturday.
The deceased, 55-year-old Intang Jembu, was found several kilometres downriver from where he fell.
Following the discovery, the body was brought back to Rumah Mengga at Sungai Gaat and handed over to family members.
A search party comprising police, Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) and longhouse folk sprang into action after the mishap occurred around 3pm on Friday.
