KUCHING: Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) is offering bundle passes for the 22nd Rainforest World Music Festival 2019 (RWMF 2019) and 14th Borneo Jazz Festival 2019.
For early birds until April 30, the two-event three-day bundle pass will be RM550, while the two-event one-day bundle pass is RM200.
RWMF2019 will be held at the Sarawak Cultural Village on July 12-14, while Borneo Jazz will be held at Coco Cabana, Miri on July 19-21.
“We are introducing these attractive packages to accommodate the demand for such bargains from both local and foreign music lovers,” said Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah during a press conference on Friday.
Regular early bird ticket prices for RWMF2019 are RM125 for a one-day pass and RM315 for a three-day pass.
Ticket prices for children are RM70 for a one-day pass and RM125 for a three-day pass.
There is also a family package at RM253 for a one-day pass for two adults and two children.
Borneo Jazz tickets are priced at RM108 for a one-day pass, RM188 for a two-day pass, and RM288 for a three-day pass.
Tickets for students and bulk purchases are also available.
Abdul Karim said the Rainforest Fringe Festival will be held on July 5-12 as a prelude to the two music festivals.
“The month of July is indeed an exciting time of the year in Sarawak simply because thousands of people from throughout the country and from across the globe are converging on our home ground to celebrate the universal passion and love for music,” he said.
He said out RWMF’s economic spin-offs last year amounted to RM42 million.
