PUCHONG: With about 1.2 million customers in Malaysia, redONE is committed to offering the cheapest prepaid and postpaid services.

Launched in 2012, redONE Network Sdn Bhd (redONE), formerly known as Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) was the first to offer the lowest postpaid plan at RM8 a month.

redONE co-founder and director, Ben Teh said the journey had been full of challenges, but did not stop redONE from progressing to reach more than one million users.

“As appreciation for the users’ continuous support since 2012, redONE’s priority is to maintain its users and offer the best services especially the young users,” said Teh, when speaking to Utusan Borneo and Oriental Daily News at redONE head office here.

He added that from October onwards, new and existing users can utilise higher monthly data of 8GB with unlimited calls to all networks in Malaysia with postpaid Amazing38 plan of only RM38 a month (excluding service charge).

For high internet users, redONE has launched Amazing68 offering 20GB high speed data plans including additional 10GB redVIDEO plan for users subscribing video streaming services with unlimited free calls to all networks.

New users will be given a RM10 free rebate for redVIDEO in 12 months and need only pay RM58 monthly (excluding service charges) for a year before the plan revert to original charge of RM68 a month.

Currently, redONE has 100 concept outlets, 2,000 retail stores, 17,000 sales advisors, 50 kiosks at shopping malls and local universities, he revealed.

redONE aims to penetrate Asean market and had launched MVNO postpaid in Singapore in June.

“Through the postpaid services launched in Singapore, redONE users/customers in Singapore or locals working there can use their high quota when they are in Malaysia or Singapore, without any additional roaming data charges.

“We are expected to penetrate Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand markets in the near future and will continue to explore new initiatives for our users to access more exclusive offers and attractive discounts,” Teh concluded.
