SIBU: Effective this morning, visitors entering Maybank Sibu Central Branch will now have their body temperature checked in front of the bank’s main door.
Those who display fever symptoms will be denied entry and will be told to go and see a doctor.
“This is the precautionary measure taken by the bank management against the Covid-19 outbreak” a staff member said, adding that the move was aimed at protecting the safety of the bank’s employees as well as its customers.
The staff member noted that transactions at the ATM section of the bank would not be affected.
A notice advising visitors and bank customers to comply with the bank management’s new ruling has already been pasted on the front door of the bank.
