State ministers discuss political developments

KOTA KINABALU: Several State Cabinet ministers and Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) leaders met with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Apdal yesterday to discuss the latest political developments in the country.
Among those who were present included the de facto Law Minister cum Warisan permanent chairman Datuk Liew Vui Keong, Deputy Home Minister cum Warisan Wira chief Datuk Azis Jamman, Deputy Chief Minister cum Parti Keadailan Sabah (PKR) Sabah chairperson Datuk Christina Liew, Deputy Chief Minister cum Warisan vice president Datuk Jaujan Sambakong, Deputy Chief Minister cum Upko president Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau, and Minister of Infrastructure Development cum Warisan vice president Datuk Peter Anthony.
No Democratic Action Party (DAP) leaders were present.
Jaujan when met after exiting Shafie’s office said the meeting was to discuss current issues, including development projects in Sabah.
On the other hand, Liew said there was nothing unusual about State Cabinet members meeting with the Chief Minister.
Nevertheless, she said the leaders did discuss about the latest political developments in the country but did not elaborate.
Liew also confirmed that she was still the chairperson of PKR and Pakatan Harapan (PH) in Sabah.
On the ongoing political turmoil in West Malaysia, she replied, “We shall wait and see.”
“We will know after the dust settles in the next one or two days.”
