MIRI: The Long Bedian Social and Welfare Association together with its sub-district unit have contributed food and drinks to staff members of Miri Hospital and those at the quarantine facility.

According to Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau, the contribution signifies their appreciation to the healthcare personnel, who are on the forefront during the present Covid-19 situation.

“This serves as a moral support to all these medical personnel, who are working tirelessly in containing the spread of the virus, and treating the patients in Miri.

“I also encourage all to give their fullest cooperation to the health personnel and other authorities during the current Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

“Those who exhibit any symptom corresponding to Covid-19 infection, you must proceed immediately to the hospital and make sure all the information provided is correct as we do not want the safety of our health personnel and facilities to be affected,” he told The Borneo Post yesterday.

Meanwhile, Long Bedian village headman Leslie Lah said they understood the hardship and the pressure that any medical staff member was going through.

“It is our hope that our little gesture and also our prayers would go a long way,” he said.
