KUCHING (Nov 15): Members of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bau branch visited the Malay community last week as part of their efforts to support families dealing with illnesses and other hardships, such as difficult living conditions.
In a statement yesterday, the branch said the community outreach programme aimed at showing compassion to those in need within the community, reflecting the branch’s commitment to social responsibility.
“Our members took their time to understand the situations of the families, listened to their concerns, and provided essential supplies to help ease their burdens,” it said.
SUPP Bau is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community by working to improve the quality of life for all regardless of race or religion, and is always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need.
“We will continue to organise similar community support activities, upholding our mission to serve the people and benefit the society.
“We encourage more caring individuals to join us in reaching out to those in need within our community,” it said.
Among those present were branch chairman Jong Yie Loong as well as party members Wong Shiew San, Bong Chan Hui, Councillor Voon Ngat Jan, and Chung Sze Yong.
