SIBU (Nov 24): A healthy body is one of the key factors that contributes to the well-being of families and the community as a whole, said Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang.
He emphasises that good health makes a community in any area more productive and competitive, enabling them to achieve a higher standard of living over time.
“A healthy body certainly enables individuals to perform their daily tasks and duties effectively, resulting in high-quality work,” he said in officiating at the Honda Health Carnival in Bintulu, yesterday.
He said it was an honour to be invited by Honda Kemena Auto Sdn Bhd and Klinik KLB to attend the carnival.
He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to both parties for conducting the awareness programme, in collaboration with the local community.
“Programmes like this serve as a reminder to everyone about the importance of not only maintaining personal and family health, but also the health of the wider community,” he said.
The carnival held free health screenings, including blood sugar level checks, Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments, breast examinations and consultations with professional doctors – all demonstrating the organisers’ high level of commitment in promoting health awareness among the local community.
