SIBU (Feb 5): The Sibu Water Board (SWB) contractor will carry out road excavation work and instal a 400mm Ductile Iron main pipe at the intersection of Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Lorong 40.
In a statement, SWB said that the work will begin at 12 noon on Feb 8 and is expected to be completed by 3pm on Feb 9, spanning an estimated 27 hours.
“During this period, the intersection at Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce Lorong 40 will be fully closed to ensure the smooth progress of the pipe installation work.
“Road users are advised to use alternative routes to enter and exit Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce Lorong 40 during the work period.”
SWB advised all road users to adhere to the directional signs and safety boards in place, and emphasised that its contractor will make every effort to complete the work as soon as possible.
SWB said if weather conditions or site circumstances do not permit, the work will be carried out on the following day.
“We greatly appreciate the full cooperation of all road users, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience caused.”
