MIRI (March 13): Noble Dominance Sdn Bhd and Bright Star Resources Sdn Bhd, two local companies from the plantation and construction industry, have joined hands to support the small business community here.
Through the companies’ food aid distribution initiative, a total of 35 food baskets consisting rice, cooking oil, sugar, and canned food were handed over to the Wireless Walk Miri Traders Association chairman Mohamad Abdullah Jamin recently.
In expressing his gratitude for the donations, Mohamad Abdullah Jamin said these contributions would be presented to the respective traders at the Wireless Walk during a special handover ceremony this Saturday.
Bright Star Resources managing director Jekeria Abdul Pata, meanwhile, remarked that the food aid distribution was part of the companies’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to help small businesses.
“We understand the hardship faced by this small business community, especially in the current economic challenges, thus, it is hoped that these donations can ease their burden and keep them motivated to do their business.
“We would also like to thank Noble Dominance Sdn Bhd for collaborating with us in this month of Ramadan,” he said, while highlighting their commitment to supporting the social welfare of the local business community.
