KUCHING (Sept 6): Muay Thai sensation Johan “Jojo” Ghazali roared back to form in breathtaking style today, scoring a crushing first-round knockout over Morocco’s Zakaria El Jamari at ONE Fight Night 35 inside Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium.
The 18-year-old prodigy, once hailed as the future of Malaysian combat sports, silenced critics and proved his doubters wrong by delivering on his pre-fight promise — to finish Zakaria in the opening round.
It took Jojo just two minutes to unleash a storm of body blows and hooks to the head that left his opponent sprawled on the canvas.
“I said I would knock him out in round one, and I don’t make empty promises,” Jojo declared triumphantly.
“This was about showing the world that I’ve evolved. I’m stronger, smarter, and hungrier than ever.”
Jojo’s stunning return to the winner’s circle comes after enduring the most difficult stretch of his young career.
