KUCHING (Sept 7): A two-door sports coupe believed to be a Lotus Elise was engulfed in flames following an incident at a roadside in Taman Ling Ling, Mile 11, near here this afternoon.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said a team from the Siburan fire station was dispatched after receiving a distress call at 5.46pm.
“The driver was sent to the hospital by members of the public prior to Bomba’s arrival,” the department said in a statement.
Firefighters ensured the blaze was fully extinguished before concluding the operation.
No serious injuries were reported.
