MIRI (May 22): Gracelyn Tigang was crowned winner of Miss Grand Sarawak 2026 at the pageant finale on Wednesday.
The Bintulu beauty outshone 13 other finalists representing divisions and districts across Sarawak in a competition that highlighted not just good looks, but also poise, confidence, talent and advocacy.
Placing first runner-up was Lingga’s representative Elena Sulissa, while Juyanti Jelimah of Sebauh took third place.
Gracelyn and Elena also claimed the ‘Best Pageant Week Outfit’ and ‘Miss Social Media’ awards – one of several subsidiary titles presented during the finale.
Others were Priscilla Vinau of Tatau (Best Introduction), Olivia Bua Erang of Mukah (Best Evening Gown), and Dara Sendi Tampakrita of Miri (Best Walk).
The top contestants will advance to the Miss Grand Malaysia 2026, where the national winner will represent the country at the international Miss Grand competition, set to be staged in India this October.
The pageant is meant as a platform promoting leadership, cultural appreciation, confidence and social advocacy among young women at state, national and international levels.
