SARIKEI (June 12): A five-vehicle collision along Jalan Rentap here left four persons injured.
Sarikei police chief Supt Aswandy Anis said the incident happened around 11am when a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old man crashed into four stationary vehicles at a traffic light junction.
“The injured persons were two drivers and two passengers, who were all taken to Sarikei Hospital for treatment,” he said in a statement, adding all others involved in the accident were unscathed.
The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving.
Aswandy reminded motorists to remain vigilant, obey traffic regulations, and drive responsibly.
