KUCHING (Nov 21): A 73-year-old man was found dead atop a cement tanker along Jalan Batu Kawa early this morning.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said a team from the Batu Lintang fire station was dispatched after receiving a call at about 6.10am.
“The deceased, identified as 73-year-old Chin Choo Kiong, was found unconscious on top of a cement tanker.
“He succumbed to a serious injury to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics,” Bomba said in a statement.
Firefighters, with the assistance of a forklift, brought the body down from the tanker before handing it over to the police for further action.
The operation concluded at 7.30am.
