KUCHING: A palm oil refinery worker was badly scalded on his arms and forehead by boiling oil at his workplace in Lundu on Monday.
The 30-year-old man, who only started working at the refinery about a month ago, was said by his wife to be handling the palm oil with two other male workers when the mishap occurred around 6pm.
He suffered serious burns on both arms and his forehead and was sent to the Lundu hospital before being referred to the Burn Unit at the Sarawak General Hospital here for a follow-up treatment.
The other two workers sustained only minor burns in the incident.
