KUCHING: i-Cats is partnering with Infrastructure University Of Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) – the first infrastructure university campus in Malaysia – to introduce two new undergraduate programmes.
They are Bachelor of Business Administration in E-Commerce and Bachelor of Information Technology in Software Engineering.
i-Cats chief executive Mohamad Isham Fauzi said the new courses will help fulfil the call for competency among graduates for today’s voracious competitive job market as well as produce qualified professionals for industries in all business facets.
“We also have heaps of exciting new diploma programmes that await school leavers including culinary arts, information technology (computer system), electrical engineering (power) and hotel management,” he told a press conference at i-Cats West Campus here yesterday.
“I-Cats is currently offering 16 programmes ranging from degree and diploma courses and certificate programmes in engineering, electrical and electronics, information technology, nursing, plantation, business administration and tourism. i-Cats also launched six programmes targeting emerging industries,” he added.
Isham revealed that the programmes offered are accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and approved by the Ministry of Higher Education.
He said i-Cats will continue to expand its opportunity to serve the community and look forward to attain the status of university college by next year.
Isham invited parents and students to walk in for the i-Cats Open Day from Apr 29 to 30 during which many events will be held.
