MATU: Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara (DBKU) sepak takraw team emerged champion in Abu Seman Jahwie Sepak Takraw Challenge Trophy, at Kampung Treng court here from Nov 5 to 7.
DBKU which defeated Trengo B in the final, to lift the challenge trophy and pocketed cash RM300 while Trengo B received a trophy and RM200.
Coming in third place was Trengo A.
Jemoreng assemblyman Abu Seman Jahwie who is also a political secretary to the Chief Minister officiated at the closing cum prize giving ceremony.
According to Abang Ekhsan, the organising chairman, the three-day tournament which was organised by Saberkas Jemoreng branch in collaboration with PBB Jemoreng Youth Movement attracted a total of 22 teams from Matu, Igan, Daro and Kuching.
