SIBU: A 17-year-old boy from Jalan Nanas died in Sibu Hospital after he was hit by two vehicles at Jalan Ria at 4.30pm on Friday.
Mohd Hakim was riding a motorcycle when a van struck him. The impact of the collision threw his machine into the drain, leaving him on the road. Shortly after another car hit him from behind.
Hakim suffered head injuries and blood oozed from his right ear.
A Civil Defence Department vehicle rushed him to the Accident and Emergency Unit of Sibu Hospital at 5.30pm.
The injured boy was unconscious upon arrival in hospital. The doctor pronounced Hakim dead at 7.30pm.
