LABUAN: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) deputy vice-chancellor for research and innovation Prof Dr Shahril Yussof made a working visit to monitor the on-going projects at its Labuan International Campus (UMS-KAL), on Friday.
He visited the futsal court, stadium pavilion, football field and the students’ residence projects and reminded all contractors to finish their projects on time.
He said the projects must be completed, especially the students’ residence before the enrollment of new students in September.
“Contractors must get the job done for the students’ convenience,” he said, and reminded all UMS-KAL officials involved in the projects to monitor the construction and ensure they complied with safety and quality standards.
Earlier, Dr Shahril held a meeting with all contractors at UMS-KAL seminar room and it was also attended by UMS administration unit deputy registrar Musnin Mattersah.
If there were delays in the construction projects, UMS would issue warning letters to those contractors involved, Dr. Shahril said.
