150 graduate from Giatmara courses

KUCHING: One hundred and fifty trainees graduated with GiatMara Professional Certificates in nine different courses ranging from automotive technology to baking yesterday.

The technical trainees were from GiatMara Stampin and GiatMara Santubong, and the ceremony was held at Kuching Civic Centre.

“This is a simple yet meaningful event for all of you (trainees) who will shoulder your own livelihood through job placements or entrepreneurship initiatives,” said GiatMara Stampin manager Rosmahwaty Adenan at the event.

She hoped the knowledge and skills gained would benefit the trainees.

Eleven trainees from GiatMara Santubong completed their one-year study in Automotive Technology, Electrical Installation (14 trainees), Restoration Technology and Vehicle Paintwork (14 trainees), Metal Fabrication and Welding Technology (17 trainees).

As for GiatMara Stampin, 23 trainees graduated from the six-month Cooking and Food Service course, Bakery and Confectionary (22 trainees), Graphic Design and Advertising (7 trainees), Fashion and Dressmaking course (22 trainees) and Photography Technology (20 trainees).
