SEREMBAN: The offices of three Negeri Sembilan executive council members and a store at Wisma Negeri here were broken into Saturday.

The three offices, located close to one another, were of Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Jalaluddin Alias, Culture and Malay Customs Committee chairman Abd Razak Ab Said and Tourism Committee chairman Tun Hairudin Abu Bakar.

The three offices and the store were found ransacked by the burglars.

Jalaluddin said he was informed of the burglary by a staff of the State Secretariat at about 6pm Saturday.

“I was made to understand that the burglary was realised at about 3pm by a State Secretariat staff who was working overtime. I lost an Apple iPad and a Samsung tablet but, so far, I am not sure what documents were lost. I believe the individual committed this crime yesterday as it was a weekend holiday,” he said when contacted yesterday.

He said he was informed that a police report was made by the State Secretariat security office yesterday and the police were conducting their investigation.

On Sept 25 last year, the Land and Mines Office, Social Welfare Department and office of state executive councillor Datuk Shamsulkahar Mohd Deli in the same building were reported to have been burgled. — Bernama
