MIRI: Some 60 youths here recently signed up for the newly-established Paint The World – Project Alpha Malaysia.

When contacted, chairperson Aziza Azniza, 18, called the outcome of their first event here “phenomenal”.

“It was a really a good sign that youths, especially here, are aware of our organisation’s existence.

“We are glad that the turnout was huge as we did not expect that many at all,” she said.

Aziza called on all youths to play an active part in the organisation and continue to spread the idea of unity, peace and love.

Among the organisation’s activities so far was a visit to the Miri Sunflower Centre last week.

“It was real fun and we enjoyed every second we had with the children at the centre.

“We danced and we sang songs for them just to make them happy. It was so satisfying to us to see smiles on their faces.

“We were indeed happy and fortunate to be able to do our part in brightening up their world and we will continue to visit them and other centres as well in the near future,” added Aziza.
