MIRI: Two men aged 46 and 56 year-olds were arrested on Thursday afternoon after a dispute over the wife of one of the men.
The incident happened around 2.15pm inside a food premises of a shopping mall at Jalan Miri-Pujut. Three security personnel of the shopping mall were called to the food premises as the duo began quarrelling.
Concerned members of the public who were at the mall had immediately alerted the security personnel as they were worried it might turn violent.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the quarrel, even though one of the men was seen throwing several punches at the other guy.
However, the woman who was at the centre of the guys’ quarrel, fled the scene.
It was understood that prior to the quarrel, the woman’s husband had tailed his wife to the eatery and was angered when he saw his wife spoon-feeding the other man. As he could no longer hold his anger, he walked towards the two and confronted them.
Both men are currently being detained under police custody to facilitate investigation into the case.
