KUCHING: Those searching for a new place to sit back, enjoy delicious food and have a good time can head over to Wakakakaka 2.0 at Gala Street Mall here.

The restaurant, which had its official grand launch last Sunday, serves brunch, lunch, dinner, hi-tea and supper.

Open daily, it has local and Western selections on its menu.

Aside from enjoying the food, patrons can also come and enjoy themselves during the ‘Happy Hours’ and indulge in the restaurant’s alcohol selection.

One of its directors, Zak Gan views Wakakakaka 2.0 as a ‘revamped version’ of the previous establishment, located at Brighton Square previously.

“Wakakakaka 2.0 is the upgraded and improved version of the original ‘Wakakakaka’, so we want to bring even more joy and happiness to our patrons,” he said.

According to him, some of its menu items are from the old ‘San Francisco Grill’.

“Those who remember San Francisco Grill, and maybe miss its food, can now come to Wakakakaka 2.0 and relive some of the memories.

“Some of the items from the old San Francisco Grill that are available here (Wakakakaka 2.0) are the Corned Beef Soup, Cream of Fresh Oyster and Orange Steak,” said Gan, adding that there are also live band performances at Wakakakaka 2.0.

Wakakakaka 2.0 directors Akang Sze, Jasper Kho and Dylan Sim were also present at the grand launch last Sunday.

Wakakakaka 2.0’s operating hours – or the ‘laughing hours’ as they are known locally – are from 10am till midnight.
