MIRI (June 3): Two people were seriously injured while two others sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at Jalan Pegong in Limbang on Tuesday.
Limbang fire station said in a statement that it received a distress call regarding the incident at 5.52pm and immediately dispatched five firefighters to the scene.
“Upon arrival, it was found that the accident involved a car which had skidded onto the road shoulder.
“There were four victims were inside the vehicle, with two sustaining serious injuries while the other two suffered minor injuries,” it said.
According to the statement, all victims had been extricated from the vehicle by members of the public before the arrival of firefighters.
After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the victims were transported to Limbang Hospital for further treatment.
The operation concluded at 6.20pm.
