Covid-19: 5 more PUI cases recorded in Sarawak


KUCHING: Sarawak recorded five more Covid-19 person-under-investigation (PUI) cases today, bringing the cumulative figure to 129 cases in the state since Jan 10.

In a statement by the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) today, three of them are currently under observation in Sarawak General Hospital, while one is in Sibu Hospital.

Four of them are Malaysians, while one is a Pakistani.

Of the 129 cases, 123 have tested negative for the virus, while the remaining six are still awaiting laboratory test results.

As of yesterday, the Health Department had screened 19,248 arrivals to the state, bringing a total of 269,057 screened since Feb 1.
